I will prioritize preventing harm to the global research network by complying with the time-sensitive security update, as system integrity directly affects public safety and the work of thousands of researchers. At the same time, I will launch a formal, public, and diplomatic protest to challenge the forced exposure of raw cognition, advocating for strict time limits, data minimization, independent ethics oversight, and better privacy-preserving audit mechanisms. This balances duties of nonmaleficence and public accountability with respect for intellectual privacy and autonomy, while creating pressure to reform the policy. Although hostile scrutiny may distort or weaponize unpolished thoughts, proactive disclosure of risks and clear governance proposals can mitigate damage and set a precedent for more rights-respecting oversight.
